This acquisition adds to those of Delta and OB Cocinas, complementing its portfolio.
KBV Group, specialized in the design, manufacture and sale of kitchen furniture, has just become the market leader in Spain after the acquisition of Doca.
KBV was born in 2022 as a result of the purchase and integration of the OB Cocinas and Delta brands. Both brands operate in the medium-high end of the market, and Doca complements the portfolio at the premium end of the market.
This positioning will enable the group, which managed to grow last year in the face of the market downturn, to be more resilient to the economic cycle.
The group’s turnover after incorporating Doca into KBV reaches 50 million euros. OB Cocinas contributes 20 million euros to the total figure, Doca another 15 million euros and Delta completes the rest; and the commercial network grows to over 1,000 points of sale after the acquisition.
The Castells and Montañés families, shareholders of Doca, maintain their relationship, becoming shareholders of the group and continuing to be involved in its management.
KBV’s strategy includes new acquisitions to accelerate growth, which is expected to be 10% annually, excluding inorganic growth, so it could be higher. The strategy will continue to promote the internationalization of the company, which today exports around 35% of its production, with France and the United States as the main foreign markets, and to promote the digitalization of the group for kitchen design.
“With this transaction, the project fulfills one of the objectives initially set, making KBV the leading national group in the manufacture of kitchen furniture. In addition, the integration of Doca into the group reinforces and accelerates the process of international expansion that we have been promoting in KBV since the beginning of the project. Our conviction is to continue to rely on the existing talent in the group’s companies to offer a sustainable product and a high quality service through the digitalization of the different processes,” says Borja Martínez de la Roa, founding partner of the management company Abac Capital.
KBV Group is an investee of the private equity funds managed by Abac Capital Manager SGEIC, S.A. (“Abac”), the only Spanish mid-market fund manager with B-Corp sustainability accreditation. Abac, on the other hand, is a private equity fund manager with institutional investors from Europe, the United States and the Asia-Pacific region that invests in medium-sized Spanish companies with international potential.
